Not a big deal though since I typically don't have a use for databases at the moment.
If I did, I'd probably install Windows 7 in a VM and work on them like that. So I really don't have to worry about working on those projects. Even though you can't import databases from MS to LO, I'm not hurt by that at all because most of the databases I've created were for jobs that I no longer work for. Base is FAR more superior as a Database program than Access because Base uses a much more powerful database engine than Access. Which is kind of a shame and a blessing at the same time. The only thing I had issues with was MS Access working with LibreOffice Base. I've also got some Word documents that had pictures embedded into them and those are editable just fine. I have many workbooks that take info from other sheets in order to calculate other things and Calc does this flawlessly. All of my formulas were able to move over to LibreOffice from Excel. My documents, however, don't have any sort of scripting in them or anything like that which would need Windows in order to open. I've edited my Excel documents and Word documents in LibreOffice with no issues at all. LibreOffice is quite capable of opening MANY Microsoft Documents like Excel, Word and I think PowerPoint (not 100% sure on PowerPoint). I would have to disagree with this in general.
Not 100% compatible, but documents will be readable If you are fan of Riot Games titles you are out of luck as Riot has made it pretty clear they won't support Linux.
